Obras de Caridad - St. Vincent DePaul Ministry

The Obras De Caridad (Works of Charity/Love) Ministry at Santo Domingo Church operates much like the St. Vincent DePaul Society locally.  Obras de Caridad visits the poorest members of the Santo Domingo Parish offering spiritual and material support.  St. Dominic provides over $1,000 per month (often more each month for special projects) to support this important ministry.  These funds are used to purchase food, clothing, medicines, household items, and emergency aid for the poor.  Obras de Caridad administers our “Pan De Vida” and “Sagradas Familias” Ministries.  It is remarkable that most members of Obras De Caridad are poor themselves but recognize that our faith invites them to always serve the least among us.  Contact Jodie Bowers, JBowers@stdominicchurch.net, to learn more about Obras De Caridad.
