This Lent create a no-sew fleece blanket for the vulnerable members of Cleveland. As you tie, send out a prayer of love for our brothers and sisters at our six Lenten partner agencies: Zelie’s House, Womankind, Joseph’s Home, Larche, HOLA and Herman House.
This Lent engage your mind and heart as you grow closer to Jesus and fellow parishioners through video reflection and discussion. After a short video related to a variety of topics, a staff member will prayerfully guide a group discussion.
A special Lenten resource page will be available on the diocesan website beginning Feb. 15. Included will be a daily Lenten reflection from Bishop Edward Malesic providing meaningful insight and focus for reflection during the season of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, as well as links to relevant videos and other resources to help the faithful observe Lent in a more meaningful way.
Each year, over 3,200 families receive food assistance from the St. Aloysius Hunger Center that regularly distributes perishable and non-perishable food items to those in need. This year St. Dominic parishioners will be there every Tuesday, helping them prepare and distribute over 8,000 "to-go" hot meals per year.
