"Journey to Bethlehem" Christmas Project

The Salvadoran government provides limited educational resources to schools.  The Ministry of Education will give one uniform per year to each pupil.  This is simply not enough.  Most children have to walk 1-2 hours to school, each way.  Children grow.  Uniforms get worn, frayed, and dirty.  To respond to this need, the 2018 “Journey to Bethlehem” Christmas Project raised over $55,000 providing each student in the entire municipality of Chiltiupan with a second school uniform.  The project is also providing much needed school supplies and teacher resources to the schools in Chiltiupan.

Students at the Siberia Norte School receive new uniforms.
Students at the Shutia School welcome a St. Dominic group.
