When I Call for Help: Coercive Control Education Session
Join us Thursday, October 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room for an educational event.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and it is our duty as Catholics to show support, be informed and take action to educate ourselves about this issue. The Catholic Diocese Office of Marriage and Family Ministry will be on hand to discuss, inform, advocate, and educate parishioners on coercive control. This awareness session is designed to shed light on the realities of coercive control and domestic violence that occurs in our parishes and communities. This free session has been developed with the support of a victim advocate and a coach that works with abusers to help support increased understanding of how to respond in these difficult situations.
