On this trip, you will:
- Further your knowledge of the history of the Civil Rights Movement where key events happened, with community members who were present.
- Understand the connection between the history of slavery and racial terror, and the modern-day system of mass incarceration and capital punishment.
- Learn about efforts to reform the U.S. criminal legal system.
- Pray and discern how Catholics can play a more active role in truth-telling to move our nation towards justice and healing.
Dates
- Wednesday, April 29, 2026: program starts at 12 p.m. Central Time in Montgomery, AL
- Friday, May 1, 2026: program ends at 12 p.m. Central Time in Montgomery, AL
Cost
The $600 registration fee includes: lunches, dinners, and snacks from Wednesday lunch to Saturday dinner; ground transportation; museum entrances; speaker honorarium; itinerary, program, briefing/debriefing, reflections; advance reading and resource educational packet.
It does not include: air travel to Montgomery, ground transportation to and from the airport, lodging.
Travel
Participants are responsible for arranging their flights and transportation to and from downtown Montgomery.
