Unity in Our Community Food Pantries

At the beginning of the Covid pandemic, a coalition of Shaker Heights churches, neighborhood groups, and civic leaders gathered to address emergency needs in our community.  We quickly realized food insecurity and hunger was the biggest need in our area.  To respond to this need, the group launched two emergency food pantries serving our neighbors.  The “Unity in Our Community” Food Pantries serve 150 families at each distribution. Distribution takes place twice each month.  Please contact Jodie Bowers to volunteer for this effort or to inquire about receiving an emergency food basket.
