Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 5pm, church
followed by our Parish Christmas Party in the Bishop Amos Center
This year’s program will feature dramatic excerpts from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol accompanied by a vast array of music including traditional English carols, Irish fiddle tunes, sounds of Motown, music of Gabriel Faure to James Taylor performed by nearly 100 performers from our Adult and Youth Choirs and instrumentalists. The Concert and Party are both handicap accessible. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis; please arrive early!
There is no charge, but your free-will donations will benefit our parish Christmas Collection, Keep the Fire Burning: A Salvadoran Christmas Project. Our parish goal is to purchase 1,000 stoves at $40 each for the people at our sister parish, Santo Domingo, in Chiltiupan, El Salvador. These stoves reduce time spent gathering firewood for families and improve respiratory problems by reducing smoke inhalation. A special collection envelope will be available at the concert; please make your checks payable to “Church of St. Dominic.”
Please make your reservation for the Party by December 5th.
Click here for the Parish Christmas Party Reservation Form. Email the form to us at parishoffice@stdominicchurch.net; print and return the form to the rectory office; or call us with your reservation and let us know what you’ll be bringing to share!
While there is no charge, we ask that you bring one of the following items to share in a disposable container:
